Thousands of photos on your phone, zero on your wall? Scrapbooking fixes that.

Start with a pocket photo printer: Digital Camera World calls the Canon Ivy 2's sticker-backed prints great for scrapbooking, and Reviewed's testers liked the Polaroid Hi-Print best overall. Stick them into a scrapbook-style album like TechGearLab's favorite, trim photos and card stock with Bob Vila's pick for scrapbooking, and add captions with archival fine-liners that won't bleed through. Washi tape and a craft knife handle the decorating and the fiddly cuts. Each card shows the drawback the reviewers called out, and a couple of the basics haven't been reviewed by anyone yet, which the cards say too.
Who this is not for. Skip this if you want a daily writing habit more than a photo book; the Journaling Starter Kit has notebooks and pens for that.

Questions people ask
Do I need a photo printer to scrapbook?
No, you can order prints online. A pocket printer just makes it instant, and the Canon Ivy 2 and Polaroid Hi-Print both print on sticky-backed paper, so you can skip the glue.
Fixed pages or a ring binder album?
TechGearLab liked the Totocan's big pages for layouts, but you can't add pages. The Pioneer 3-ring album lets you add or remove pages, though its pages are small.
Which pen should I use for captions?
An archival ink pen like the Sakura Pigma Micron, which won't bleed through. Tombow's dual brush pens are fun for page titles, but they can bleed on thin paper.
