  • Under $15 Tourna Grip Original Overgrip Best for any player; grips wear out
  • The upgrade 11SIX24 Pegasus Jelly Bean Paddle Best for upgrading from a starter paddle
  • For two Niupipo Pickleball Paddle Set (2 Paddles, 4 Balls) Best for getting a couple started together

Pickleball players go through balls and grips fast, so those are the easy gifts. Check whether they play indoors or outdoors first, because the balls are different. A sling bag or an upgrade paddle is the mid-size gift for someone who plays every week. The starter set is for getting a partner or a couple into the game. Every pick comes from my pickleball starter list, where I explain why it made the cut and name the outlet when one recommends it. Only buy shoes if you know their size.

Questions people ask

What is a good gift for a pickleball player?

Balls and overgrips are the safest, since players use them up. Check indoor or outdoor before buying balls. A paddle bag or an upgrade paddle is a bigger gift for regular players.

Who is this list for?

It is less useful if you want a single product and already know which one.

Do you review the products?

No. I have not reviewed them. I read published reviews and name the outlet on the pick.

Why are there three price tiers?

Budget is the cheaper one that still does the job. Mid is what most people should buy. Splurge is only if you will use it often.
